Choice of Fund (Super Choice) legislation came into effect on 1 July 2005.
This means that for the first time (if eligible) you can nominate the super fund into which you would like your employer’s regular Superannuation Guarantee (SG) payments made.
To nominate a fund, you must complete a standard choice form and provide it to your employer.
This form must be accompanied by a written declaration that the fund you have nominated is complying under the legislation. The declaration must also feature details on how the employer can make SG payments into the fund.
To assist you in this process Summit has created a template of the written declaration, for the following funds:
- Generations Personal Super;
- Summit Personal Super;
- Summit Employer Sponsored Super; and
- iAccess Personal Super.
Click on one of the links below – depending on the fund you wish to nominate – and provide the relevant declaration with your completed standard choice form. This form is available from your employer.
